By applying the Weight Sum Model (WSM) method to the selection of the best raw materials does not distinguish the criteria for benefit or cost, so that weight greatly affects the calculation of the best results can overcome the obstacles faced by PT. Batang Hari Barisan in the selection of the best raw material quality which becomes easier which is accompanied by the design of the application system for selecting the best raw material quality in order to become computerized. PT. BatangHari Barisan is a national private company in the field of processing processed rubber materials into crumbrubbers which are classified as raw materials for the tire industry, rubber finished products. Obstacles faced by PT. Batanghari Barisan in determining the selection of the best raw materials, has not used a method that can handle the problem of assessing raw materials with many criteria. For the raw material assessment process, a system is needed to support the decision of the best raw material assessment. By applying the Weight Sum Model (WSM) method to the selection of the best raw materials does not distinguish the criteria for benefit or cost, so that weight greatly affects the calculation of the best results can overcome the obstacles faced by PT.
