Abstract

In the corporate world, computers are needed in the development of certain companies or agencies. The role of computers as a tool today is beyond doubt. Computers as we know them are useful as data receiving media, data storage, and data processing. The role of computers can also be used as a tool in the decision-making process for promotion. In every company, of course, there are rules for promotion that are still done manually. The process of making a promotion decision that is done manually requires a long process and is less effective, so that managers have difficulty when dealing with many and several alternatives that have almost the same value. Therefore the authors designed and built Decision Support System (DSS) tools with the ELECTRE method. The system built is expected to help manager performance in decision making for promotion. Based on the results of trials with 10 respondents, the promotion decision support system with the ELECTRE method is easy to use. The decision-making system that was built was able to assist managers in making decisions for promotions according to the desired criteria.
