Abstrak

Sugarcane plants only grow in tropical climates that can be harvested approximately 1 year from planting. Production of brown sugar from sugarcane can be done within the scope of micro and small businesses for the needs of the community and can develop regional potential. Being one of the processed sugarcane juice products that is increasing in the market with high economic value and has good propects for development. Kilangan Tebu Tradisional Ni Des can do sugarcane milling with a capacity of 800 kg – 1000 kg per day. The expected yield of brown sugar is sweet. There is a need for quality control because errors often occur during the production process and it is necessary to make decisions at that time. Quality control can be carried out from the selection of sugarcane, the production process to the storage of brown sugar in the warehouse. Therefore, an expert system is needed to replace the role of experts in making decisions. The experts system used for the brown sugar production process is by using the Forward Chaining which is designed with Visual Basic 2012 and MySQL as the database.
